April 26 Shorebirds of Iosco County
7:00pm at Green Point Environmental Learning Center, Saginaw
Roger Erickson presents the "Shorebirds of Iosco County". Many of the plovers and sandpipers that can be found in the Great Lakes Bay Region will be shown, including identification aids for the peeps (Least, Semi-palmated, and Baird’s Sandpipers). Detailed photos of Dunlin, White-rumped and Upland Sandpipers, along with plovers: Piping, American Golden, Black-bellied, and many others will be documented. All the photos were taken in Michigan, most in Iosco County. Learn how to differentiate these challenging families of our coastlines. Roger Erickson regularly contributes sightings and photos to the Saginaw Bay Birding website. (for more information contact Larry Abraham at 989-777-4787).
