Snowy Owl 1
Seven Mile Rd S of Prevo, BA
I didn't see a big variety of birds on this snowy day but the above numbers were worth the morning drive. The Ring-necked Pheasants were pretty much in single file, walking across the middle of a corn stubble field from east to west. They were north of Munger Rd between Portsmouth & S.E. Boutell Rds. The American Robins were in a number of fruit bearing trees on M-13 just south of M-81 terminus. The trees are located in a boulevard between the north/south lanes.
Impressive siskin numbers continue in Iosco County!
* Jane Ruster called Roger to let him know she had a TURKEY VULTURE on her meat scraps pile in her yard. Roger stopped by and photographed the 1st year bird. Yet another amazing bird for this winter season in the Saginaw Bay Area!
