Not sure if YHBL have ever been confirmed to have bred in Saginaw County. I have a video of the juveniles squawking for food but never got footage of them. I first noted them on bent, dried cattails near the north end of Grefe Pond. I've heard them in Bay County before but never have seen them. They still had some natal down on top of their heads, were yellowish on their upper parts, diffusing to a brownish color on their lower parts. Each sported a lateral white lines in their wings.
