Maybe 50 yards from where you enter the soft beach sand. It was working the bushes very low , often climbing up the limbs to the foliage. Had it in my binoculars for maybe 2 minutes. Found it sitting on my heels and looking under the new growth. Bird had no markings on the back or chest, but was fully streaked on the top of the head. The bill seemed a bit longer than most warblers and the tail short and broad. I have seen them at Pt Pelee in the past,and had a good long look at this one from close range in the shrubs at the point." |
