I've been following this website with my father for a few months now. Last spring and summer I visited several nature areas in the Saginaw area and saw birds I never knew were here, like the Yellow-headed Black Bird! I've never seen a snowy owl except in pictures, so I'm heading up to that area from Waterford with high hopes! Thanks for all you do!

I drove out with my father today to the area you saw the owls and I saw two of them! One was pure white, sitting on top of a telephone pole. The other had dark bars all over, a bit smaller, and sitting in a plowed field. Then, a Bald Eagle flew overhead! We were absolutely in awe today! Thanks so much for your description of the location!! It was a fabulous day for birding!!
