As in past August’s, I sat in the backyard, garden hose in one hand and bins in the other. I sprayed the trees and shrubs nearby and after some minutes, the birds descended to bathe low in the trees and in the shrubbery— even on some nearby ostrich ferns— just as in years gone by. :)
