Monica wrote, "Came upon a large flight of longspurs flying over the road. Stopped to count   Used clicker and counting by tens when birds were flying by in numbers too large for clicker to keep up. Timed them: rate of around 100-200+ a minute, tending to come in waves with significant pauses in between. I would think the flight had ended, and it would start up once more. Who knows how many had passed before I happened upon them!  This is the second massive longspur flight I’ve witnessed at the top of the Thumb!  Time spent:38 min  Note:  I left before the flight ended  to go look for hawks. Unreal."
